PROGRAM DETAILS

1 Day 1: Marrakech – Casablanca - Rabat

You will be picked up in the morning from your accommodation by your Morocco Happiness Tours guide. We will leave the red city behind us and travel towards Casablanca; where we’ll stop for lunch and you will have the opportunity to see the greatest landmarks of the city such as the Hassan II Mosque. After lunch, the tour continues towards Rabat, the capital city of Morocco and residence of the king. You will have the opportunity to visit the Hassan Tower and the Kasbah Oudaya garden to name a few interesting places to see. Overnight will be spent in a hotel or riad.

2 Day 2 : Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis - Fes

In the morning after breakfast, our Morocco Happiness Tours trip will continue to Meknes in northern Morocco. Meknes is known for its imperial past, with remnants including Bab Mansour, a huge gate with arches and mosaic tiling. We will continue our journey and next visit Volubilis, the ruins of the Roman Empire. We will end the day in Fes, where we will spend the night in a hotel or riad.

3 Day 3 : Fes excursion with a city guide

You’ll spend your full day exploring Fes, the oldest imperial city in the world, home to the world's first university dating back to the 9th century. You’ll be picked up by your tour guide accompanied with a city guide which is included in your Morocco Happiness Tour. After a full day of exploring the city you will return to your hotel or riad in Fes.

4 Day 4 : Fes – Merzouga

After breakfast, we’ll leave Fes and head towards Ifrin where we have our first stop of the day. We’ll continue through the Cedar forest and see if the inhabitants, the Barbary apes, will offer us a good photoshoot. We’ll drive to Midelt where we will stop for lunch and after lunch, we will drive through the Ziz Valley to Merzouga. We will enter the Erg Chebbi sand dunes which are part of the Sahara Desert. When we arrive, a Camel guide will take you to a one-hour Camel ride to your campsite where you will have dinner and spend the night in a tent under the stars.

5 Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gore – Valley of Dades

You should wake up early and look at the magic lights before the sunrise. Once you are out of the sand dunes, you’ll meet your tour guide again and we’ll continue our tour, heading towards Valley of Dades.

We depart towards Tinghir where we will have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra Gorges, stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. We stop in Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous canyons views while wandering around on foot. At the end of the day we drive to the Valley of Dades where you will have dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

6 Day 6 : Valley of Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou

In the morning after breakfast we start again our tour along “the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs” first by passing the Valley of Roses which is the capital of roses in Morocco, then Skoura Oasis until we reach Ouarzazte. During this drive we will pass many beautiful spots to take pictures and/or enjoy the views. Ouarzazate is known as the Hollywood of Africa, and there you can find large studios which have attracted few of the major producers in the world. We offer you to stop and visit a studio before we head to the area of Aid Ben Haddou were, we will spend the night in a hotel or riad.

7 Day 7 : Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

In the morning we start by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Ait-Ben-Haddou, in Ouarzazate province. It is a striking example of the architecture of southern Morocco with a well-preserved fortress city that has provided inspiration and filming locations with the biggest studios inviting many international companies to work in Ouatzazate On our way to Marrakech we will visit the Kasbah of Telouet, once the seat of Pasha El Glaoui of Marrakech and finally we’ll find our way through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka pass (2260m), the highest road pass in Morocco. We will arrive back in Marrakech in the afternoon and our tour ends.
